Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC; Ocwen Loan Resolution Department Fraudulent, misrepresentative, uncaring, dishonest

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/322/RipOff0322171.htm

(Copy of letter that I sent to them regarding the problem. I have all the documents that are listed in the letter and can fax them to you for further documentation)March 9, 2008Ocwen Financial CorporationAttn P. O. Box 785061Orlando, FL 32878-5061FAX: (866) 771-5152RE: 70084504To Whom It May Concern:On January 18, 2008, I received a letter from Ocwen offering me a Loan Modification Agreement so that I could bring my account current and out of forbearance. I read through the agreement, signed it on January 23, 2008 and faxed it to Ocwen on January 24, 2008. To date I have not received any notification or billing stating that this agreement was received. On March 7, 2008, I called the Customer Support Hotline to inquire about my account. At 12:36 pm I spoke with Kash who told me that she had no record of this agreement having been received by Ocwen. Kash put me on hold from 12:49 pm until 1:04 pm and then I spoke with Curtis. He told me that I had to speak to someone in the LRC Department. Curtis transferred me to the LRC and the phone rang once and then I was disconnected. I called back at 1:10 pm and spoke with Shavonne. She also said I needed to speak with someone in the LRC Department and she transferred me to that department. I was on hold from 1:16 pm until 1:30 pm until a Mr. Holland picked up the phone. He took my loan information and then put me on hold. Within one minute, Prasanna then picked up the phone. He stated to me that there was no record of the agreement and that I was to have faxed it in within the 10 days required. I explained to him that is what I did and that I had a fax confirmation to support that. He stated that this did not matter and he would be sending out a new loan modification packet for me to fill out again. I explained to him that at the time of the signing of the loan modification agreement, I was told that I had to pay Februarys payment of $1210 plus $161 in fees. Then starting in March, I would receive a new bill with the correct payment amount along with escrow amount that was needed. I did not receive that information, so I sent my regular forbearance amount of $1210. Prasanna now tells me that since I did not send in the $1371, my $1210 was being held in suspense until I made up the difference. So, my question is this: What is my monthly payment amount? What is my escrow amount? Where is the loan modification agreement that I faxed to you? I know that my foreclosure has been cancelled with the court as I have a court document stating that. I am tired of the run around that I have been getting from Ocwen for the last year. I have abided by the agreed upon forbearance amount, I signed and faxed the loan modification agreement, I call and try to straighten things out and then I have to write to the Ombudsman to get a clear picture of what the problem is and how will it be resolved. Attached to this fax, you will find a copy of the letters that I have received the loan modification that I signed, a copy of the fax cover sheet as well as all my handwritten notes. I expect this to be resolved immediately and my payment of $1210 for March to be applied to my account accordingly, WITHOUT ANY NEW FEES ADDED! If I do not receive a response within 10 days, I will be contacting an attorney and taking Ocwen to court to have this matter resolved by a Judge as I do not feel that Ocwen has my best interest in mind at any point in time within this last year. I have abided by all of Ocwens requests and requirements. At what point does Ocwen admit that they have made mistakes and correct my account?I expect an answer ASAP.

OCWEN They screwed us big time, and no one at their company cares. Carol Stream Illinois

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/304/RipOff0304687.htm

We had bought our home 2 years ago and guess who the lender was OCWEN, well we were exicted to be home owners. The first year was fine, no problemes at all, other then the constant calling when it cam past the due date, but yet you had your grace period.Well Christmas of the next year we mad that payment late, that is where it all went down hill. We had gotten multiple foreclosure letters in the mail and phone calls. My husband and being new at this called them up to see what the problem was. Oh my god they said that we need to pay 1,200.00 to get caugt up and they can arrange a forebearance plan for us to get caught up. We first had to send them 436.oo to start the plan. Well we did.We then got these papers in that said we would be on it for 6 months and have to pay 600.00 wchich is 200 more then normal. So we did that for the 6 months and I then called them up to see if the payment would be back to normal?????Guess what, I think not they said we are not caught up yet, we would have to extend it for 4 months yet..The whole time I am looking at our monthly statements and there are all of these charges that are Misc, ask them what they are and they don't have a clue.Where did all that extra money we were paying go to..They don't know!!!They reported us as being 90 days late even though we were not..They SUCK SO bad, when you go to the web site to leave comments and stuff, you get a crappy computer generated respones sent back to you..We have tried to refinance but can't because of them, they finally sent us a letter stating that we are no longer in forbearance, but on my statments it said that payments have changed and could reflect on your forebearnace plan.WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN????idiots complete and udder axxholes is the proper word.If anyone has any info on refi please let me know, Iwould be so grateful....Boop Freeland, Pennsylvania U.S.A.

Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC As Servicing Agent For Lasalle Bank National Association

Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC As Servicing Agent For Lasalle Bank National Association. As Trustee For The Registered Holders Of The Structured Asset Investment Loan Trust,. Payments made, Still going to forclose, No record of Payments from Illinois but have bank canceled checks. Orlando, Florida Carol Stream Illinois

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/321/RipOff0321714.htm

Apparently there is an big error in Ocwen Loan Servicing accounting reports from one unit to another. Ocwen has agencies in Illinois, Texas, California and Florida. Ther may be more agencies but I have not located them as of yet.Ocwen billing statements have at least 7 different addresses on them, Orlando Florida, Carol Stream Illinois, Springfield Ohio, and Fort Worth Texas. For Bankruptcies payment are supposed to be mailed to Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC, P.O. Box 785053, Orlando, Fl 32878-5053. This is where our payments have been sent however the Fort Worth Texas agency is the one filig the Motion for Relief of Stay with Lawyers based in Houston, Texas.Payments have been made on our home, however for some reason our payments have not been posted by Ocwen to all of its agencies but are reflected on our monthly statement. We have made payments in the past say in April that never posted as received until March a full month later with Late fees and interest added to our account. Each time I get the canceld check is has a stamp on it from Ocwen Lock box hold, I have no idea what that is. This has happened 4 times over the last 3 years.I have canceled checks from our bank that show payments for the months of November & December 2007, and January 2008, February 2008 and March 2008. Our current payment statement says there is only a payment due of $1500.00 however Ocwen has filed a Motion for Relief of stay stating no payments were recieved for the months I have mentioned and have a Court Date of April 10, 2008 has been set.I have mailed copies of my statements, canceled checks and a response letter to Ocwen, its attorneys my attorney and the Bankruptcy Trustee and have gotten No responses from anyone. Even my attorney has not return my phone calls for some reson. We are and have been in bankruptcy since 2003 and have met every requirement of Chapter 13. We have never missed a payment and it is scheduled to finish in November 2008.

Ocwen Financial Services Mortgage Company

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/320/RipOff0320352.htm

I lost my house January 2006 after having my loan for about 4 years. I have had a lot of financial issues due to many personal issues in my family and payments got behind. Everytime I worked out a deal with them, my payments would go up at least $200. I also did an forebearance agreements. We were in the process of trying to work out an agreement with them and I had actually been able to come up with over $7,000 to send them, and they sold the house right out from under us and basically told me oh well too bad. My parents had built the house before I was born. I grew up in the house. The company is horrible to their customers. I would love to see them out of business, so no one else has to go through what our family has gone through.

Ocwen CHECK DECEPTION

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/319/RipOff0319587.htm

I sent a partial mortgage payment in the form of two separate checks in December of 2007. Both checks have the account number written on them for proper payment publishing (I have to mortgage accounts with this company). Instead of Ocwen posting the payments to the correct accounts they posted it to one account. I found this out after they claimed to have no record of payment for the larger mortgage. I contacted my bank which gave me documented proof that Ocwen did indeed cash both checks. The bottom line is that they refused to correct their mistake, and now I have to pay a month of back mortgage payment that was made current in January 2008. I even filed a complaint with the BBB of Florida. Ocwen claims that I should have sent in the payment stubs. I would like to know where it is written in their policy that not sending in payment stubs gives them the right to rip people off. I still have all the documents to prove my account was current. As of now I'm trying to catch up AGAIN!!!

Ocwen Federal Bank Who's Watching Ocwen?

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/318/RipOff0318559.htm

First I would like to say I am an employee of Ocwen Federal Bank so I know what goes on inside the walls of the REO division located in Orlando Florida. In my opinion, based on my many years of employment and eye witness accounts, I believe Ocwen Federal Bank is corrupt to the core and their entire culture is based on corruption. Unfortunately Ocwen is also responsible for liquidating foreclosures for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. During my employment at Ocwen I have witnessed a flagrant and may I add arrogant disregard for the law, the American public and Department of Veterans Affairs. Mike Moreland who is also a complete buffoon has run the VA REO Department and regular REO Dept. at Ocwen Federal Bank as his own little investment club. He and a select few of Ocwen employees have used the REO departments including VA to obtain kickbacks from real estate agents all over the country. I can only imagine that the kickbacks range in the tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands. Those employees in charge of distributing the assets and liquidating the assets often referred to as Residential Sales Managers receives these kickbacks from participating real estate brokers all over the US by way of P.O. Boxes that have been set up to help conceal their crimes. Most of These Residential Sales Managers are not licensed real estate agents or brokers yet they illegally accept commissions from Real Estate Brokers and in return these Real Estate Brokers are provided with the bulk of the most favorable VA and regular REO listings which are the ones in the best conditions with favorable pricing. I have witnessed RSM's disclose to brokers and investors willing to pay kickbacks, the minimum bids for these properties and I have also seen RSM's ignore higher bids to sell properties to preferred brokers and their clients in return for kickbacks. I have seen RSM's use tax payer money provided by VA to fix up properties so these properties can be purchased by friends in return for kickbacks and I have witnessed RSM,s turn around and purchase these homes for themselves and later sell them for huge profits. The third party purchasers are used to conceal the fraud, however if you know what properties were sold you can follow the public records and see that the properties changed hands more than once over the course of a few months and were ultimately purchased by an RSM that works for Ocwen. Honest Real Estate Brokers who do not agree to pay illegal kickbacks will get few or no properties to sell and the ones they do get will be the hardest to sell properties because of condition, location or price. This has been going on for many years at Ocwen and when I/we first approached Mike Moreland about the suspected fraud we were told to mind our own business. We were also approached by the RSM,s committing the fraud and told to keep our mouths shut if we know what was good for us. Those of us who have already resigned from Ocwen because we were tired of the ongoing corruption and favoritism have been giving bad or no references by Ocwen when we applied for jobs elsewhere and have been blackballed from the REO business by most Major REO companies and Banks. Recently several of the employees at Ocwen were let go after enough people complained about their corruption however with the help and support of Mike Moreland and Ocwen these corrupt employees have been able to obtain secure high paying REO jobs at the very same REO companies and Banks that have participated in the blackballing of honest REO managers. . I have no doubt that Mike Moreland himself and others have profited from this illegal activity for many years. Why else would he ignore the fraud and tell us to mind our own business. Shame on VA for giving a government contract to a company that has been sued and is under investigation for so many crimes and injustices. And shame on thos REO companies and Banks that have blackballed so many good and honest REO managers and employees. Is our Government, Banks and Justice system completely indifferent to Justice or are they just for sale to the highest bidder. I will soon leave Ocwen because I am sick of lies, the deceit and the fraud. I would also like to add this note to my comments. Shame Shame Shame on our Government and the Department of Veterans Affairs for giving a government contract, paid for by hard working American taxpayers, to Ocwen Federal Bank who has an entire and very successful department I might add, dedicated to helping American corporations send American jobs overseas. Let me ask you this corporate Geniuses, what are you going to do when Americans can no longer afford your products and services because you sent all of our jobs overseas?

NCI Ocwen Harassment.. after paying the agreement settlement amount Alanta Georgia

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/318/RipOff0318708.htm

I am on disablity, which means I live on a very limited income. I recently called this company {Ocwen} to try and settle the account. After explaining my situation to them and discussing possible payment arrangements. We agreed that if I paid them nine hundred dollars it would settle the account and they would close it and report the account closed to the credit agencies.I did not have that kind of money, but I was able to borrow it from someone I knew. I sent them a cashiers check priority mail. I also included a letter with the check stating it was the settlement amount agreed upon and it would close the account, meaning the account was paid in full. They called the message number I agve them a few days later and informed me they received the check, but they wanted more money. I refused to pay them any more money and told them I was going to get legal help. Now they are calling the message number I left and harassing the person who lives there. It's a crime that companies like this can hassle people and cause them so much emotional and financial distress. I hope that every lawsuit against them is won and their company is forced to close for good.

Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC Bogus Charges, 'Funny Math', Misapplication of Payments, Offshore Customer Service

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/317/RipOff0317974.htm

My Ocwen loan is a 2nd mortgage. I financed my home with an 80/20 fixed rate mortage in 2005. The original loans were through Long Beach Mortgage, who then sold them to Washington Mutual. WaMu in turn sold the smaller $25,000 loan to Ocwen. I missed 2 payments to Ocwen in April and May of 2007. In June of 2007 I enrolled the loan into WaMu's Equity Accelerator Program. Ocwen has been receiving approximately $19 a month above and beyond the amount of my monthly payment since June of 2007, which has not been applied either to the past due balance or to additional principal. Instead, it is sitting in 'suspense' until such time that (so I was told today by the customer service representative in India, and her supervisor, also in India) the amount in suspense is equal to 1 monthly payment, then they will apply it to the current month's payment. While my statements reflect that I have a past due balance of approximately $450, my current payments have steadily decreased to the point where my statment reflects that my current balance for April (not including the $450 past due) is less than $50. Moreover, they are charging late fees and 'miscellaneous' fees. When I inquired regarding the miscellaneous fees, I was told that I was being charged approximately $90 for 3 'drive-by' inspections of my property that occured in August, October, and December of 2007 by 'someone in Ocwen Property Protection.' I insisted on the name of the company, written reports, etc. and stated that I would not be paying for property inspections that I neither requested nor was made aware of.Ocwen recently me sent correspondence giving me the opportunity to enter into a loan modification, whereby I would pay a certain sum of money now, and for the next 3 yrs my interest rate would drop down to almost 4%, and my payments would be almost 1/2 of what they are currently. The modification agreement states that 'you agree... that the unpaid principal balance is...' a figure in excess of the original $25,000 loan I took out when I purchased the property in 2005. Whereas my principal has dropped on my 1st mortgage (the Wamu Loan) from $101,000 to $98,000 in the last couple years, Ocwen wants me to believe that my principal on their loan has only dropped a couple of hundred dollars over the same time period; moreover, they want me to agree (in the form of a loan modification) that the 'modified' unpaid principal balance will be more than the original principal balance that I started off with. I had a real estate lawyer to read it over, and he says in addition to that, the agreement states that I waive alot of rights, including 'any expenses incurred in connection with the servicing of your loan, but not yet charged to your account...are not included in the Unpaid Principal Balance and may be charged to your account after the date of this Agreement.'Funny math, non-American customer service agents, charges for inspections which I had no knowledge of and did not consent to...I intend to write them a letter and follow up with letters to the Attorneys General of Florida and Texas. If there is a class action suit going on somewhere that I can opt in on, please contact me.

Mortgage Nightmares Come True

From: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/11/28/eveningnews/main585953.shtml

(CBS) Jo Scheck's American dream -- her own home -- was lost when the mortgage payments for her Bel Air, Md., townhouse skyrocketed. "You get this letter April 3, 2000, telling you that your mortgage payments have been increased by $400 a month?" asked CBS News Correspondent Randall Pinkston. "Right," Scheck replied. For years, she'd paid $900 until her mortgage servicer, Ocwen Financial Corporation, said they hadn't collected enough for the escrow. Ocwen reduced the payments by $100, but not enough for Scheck, who was forced into foreclosure. "This is a mistake that they admitted making. They said, you know, sometimes things like this fall thru the cracks," she said. In Hartford, Conn., Kweku Hanson claims Ocwen tacked on homeowner insurance he didn't need, and never credited the thousands in extra payments he'd made on his loan. "The money went to Ocwen, that's all I know," Hanson said. "How much do you think you've lost?" asked Pinkston. "I would say at least $8,000," Hanson answered. Hanson has filed a lawsuit against Ocwen alleging unfair consumer practices. Ocwen calls his charges baseless. Hanson and Scheck are among hundreds of homeowners who have complained about Ocwen's mortgage servicing practices -- complaints that include misapplied payments, bogus late fees, and erroneous threats of foreclosure. "We've seen many consumers who have proof of their mortgage payments but nonetheless are receiving harassing phone calls, default notices and legal complaints leading to foreclosure, inappropriately," said David Berenbaum, National Consumer Reinvestment Coalition.. In a statement to CBS News, Ocwen says they "resolve delinquencies in eight out of ten cases..." that there's "no financial benefit to Ocwen in foreclosing..." Ocwen says they are "closely monitored by federal regulators." In 2000, the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development determined that Ocwen had violated rules and regulations on loans Ocwen serviced for HUD. Ocwen agreed to pay $50,000 of HUD's costs to settle the accusations. "There's a real need, I'll add, for better policy and regulation of our mortgage industry especially in the sub-prime marketplace," Berenbaum said. At the least, Jo Scheck wants an apology for her foreclosure -- one she believes should never have happened.

OCWEN LOAN SERVICING/ DELTA FUNDING/ TRI MINNESOTA MORTGAGE FRADULANT CHARGES, DECEPTIVE COMPANY THAT STEELS FROM THE DISABLED ORLANDO/ APPLE VALLEY/ WOODBURY Florida NEW YORK MINNESOTA

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/317/RipOff0317363.htm

I am also a victim from Delta Funding, TRI Minnesota Mortgage, and Ocwen Loan Servicing. Delta Funding transfered my loan to Ocwen Loan Servicing, and it has been the worst experiance in my life. When I had a problem or a concern with my billing statment that they sent me, so I called Ocwen Loan Servicing on the 800 number they provided with my statement, and each and every time their would be some sort of muslim breed that would answer and most of the time all I could understand was a very uneducated language. Ocwen needs to be hiring Americans so we can understand and talk to if we encounter problems, but no OCWEN hired thoes dam muslim breeds. Then when I requested a payoff report they sent it to me and their was around $7,000 in fraudulent fees that they wanted to steel from me.So I told them three times for them to take thoes fraudulent charges off of the report. And they declined, so I ended up paying OCWEN $7000 in fradulent fees just so I could get the HELL out of thier controll. So then I filled a complaint with the Minnesota Attorney Generals Office and they started an investigation on my behalf of OCWEN LOAN SERVICING.So now the Office Of Consumer Ombudsman for Ocwen had sent the attorney general and myself a letter that states that they had inadvertently charged thoes fees to me, and now they will be sending me a refund check to me for paying the fraudulant charges.Anyways STAY AWAY FROM THESE COMPANIES THEIR DECEPTIVE AND FRAUDULANTJustinLowry, MinnesotaU.S.A.

OCWEN LOAN SERVICING OUTRAGEOUS FEES, DECEPTIVE PRACTIVE, WORKOUT'S THAT DON'T WORK OUT

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/317/RipOff0317416.htm

Currently mortgage is being serviced by Ocwen. They agreed to enter into a forbearance agreement with me to make it easier for me. The agreement made it worse and over $20,000 of additional fee's were added on the back end of the mortgage. Almost impossible to get thru to them on the phone. In trying to work out a better payment plan had to get a third party involved before they would even listen. A loan modification was issued with stipulations that they needed to be contacted if property was sold, refinanced, ect. Even after the modification agreement was made ordered a payoff from them and still over $19,000 in interest appearing on pay-off stmt. Due to the current Real Estate Market could not even sell home to cover costs. They are very hard to get a hold of, on hold for several minutes to over half an hour at a time. Then if you do get thru usually not the place you need to be so that person cannot help you even after you have been holding for over half an hour and then they go to transfer you to the so called correct department because there is not a direct line and then they cut you off. This has happened several times. Many time's cannot understand the person on the other line or feel like your talking to a well polished machine. I thought I was doing the right thing by trying to make good on my mortgage but things just seem to get worse and worse and fee's just keep adding up. Nanfrankfort, IllinoisU.S.A.

Ocwen Loan Servicing Reinstatement satisfied in October 2007, still paying bogus fees.

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/316/RipOff0316583.htm

took this loan out in 1999 and to date have only had $2000 applied to the principal. Something is really wrong here.In mid 2007 I fell behind and was facing a foreclosure which I managed to scrape up the monies needed to satisfy the arrears. When I was given the reinstatement figure I was certain to ask if that was all the back charges and any other fees necessary to bring this account current. The answer was yes.......then, a month later I received information that my mortgage payment was past due, and I also was nearing the next payment. I called the company and could not get any intelligent answers since nobody knew what was going on..OK, I paid that figure also.Now.......I again received an excessive billing and questioned it again, to no avail. They transferred me the the research department, which only had a voicemail system. I left a message and we already know that my call will not be returned. Why would it be, nobody knows what is going on or they could answer my questions.Bottom line is.......I have had it. I think this company needs to be exposed for their illegal practices. I am looking for an Attorney who is willing to fight this company, and hopefully bring attention nationwide for all the people they are taking advantage of.There is much more to this story, but I just wanted to let this site know that it is not in New York State this report is coming from. Hopefully we will get some satisfaction if we all stick together. I am truly sorry for the people who have lost their homes, but I also know how stressful this whole ordeal is. Maybe I should let them take it, since I have already paid more than the loan was.Have a great day.

Ocwen Loan Services LLC Disabled And Wrongfully Evicted

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/317/RipOff0317411.htm

First, I am just the tenant. But apart of the trickle down effect. My landlord was forclosed on and evicted who has his own report to tell on this situation. Yet Ocwen did not notify me, the tenant, about it until the eviction process was under way. I offered payment to them, no go. They wanted me out that very day Feb 4, 2008. I attained legal counsel who negotiated for them to give me until March 7, 2008 to vacate said premises. They approached me with a cash for keys agreement on March 1, 2008 to leave the premises in clean condition on March 14, 2008. I signed and agreed to do so. On monday, March 10, 2008, I contacted their(Ocwen's) representative that contacted me to make sure that all was still set for March 14, 2008. I was told no eviction would be going through. Of course that day is not here yet, but I came home on March 11, 2008 to an empty house with an even emptier dumpster out front. I have yet to hear from Ocwen as to why an eviction was done prior to said agreement date. I am a disabled person on fixed income, yet they have no care or concern for this. All my aids, medical equipment, Medicines, furniture, clothes, everything is gone.

Ocwen Complaints? Do Something!

Complaining about Ocwen isn’t enough, unless you complain to the right Government agency! Today I called the Federal Trade Commission and spoke to a Gwen; she informed me that if enough people complain about a company (Ocwen) and have the same type of complaint the Federal Trade Commission attorneys will act on those complaints! Reading this blog and all the other things on the net, we all are saying the same things about this dishonest company! Key word here, Enough people must complain about the same illegal things and same company! I’ve made this easy so if you don’t do it you have no one to blame but Ourselves – Yourself!

Agency: Federal Trade Commission
Phone # 1-877-382-4357 this is a free call
Or file a complaint on line here: https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01

You can expect to spend about 15 to 30 minutes between hold time and talking to a live person telling them your complaint. They will have an attorney call you for detailed information if enough of us complain about Ocwen and what they are doing to thousands of us. Do it now! Please! We must stand together and united.

Thanks JD

OCWEN Can not get a manager to discuss short sale. Can not get through to decision makers. Orlando Florida

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/313/RipOff0313374.htm

It is impossible to get through to Ocwen to salvage my property. I decided to sell the property in August 2006 and have not been able to find a qualified buyer. Finally I have one with cash on hand and Ocwen is delaying making a decision. Their Indian phone reps continuously transfer me into a vacuum of somekind never to be heard again. I have had to call the company back 5 to 6 times per day from being continuously cut off while waiting to speak with someone in collateral. I need help. I've got a bonafide buyer...help me help you Ocwen. No one calls back. No one knows why I called the day before. Everything starts from scratch. ONe person quotes one acceptable price and the next day the price is changed by the next rep. What is going on? If Ocwen believes having the house go to auction is in its best interest, could someone please tell me just to walk away from the house! I will give up if there is no chance of getting a decision from the company.

Ocwen Loan Servicing Company They refused to accept a short sale, and left me with a 1099-C that they can't substantiate Orlando Florida

From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/312/RipOff0312948.htm

I thought I was alone in this...I started my process of a short-sale with Ocwen in Oct 2006. I had 2 real estate companies and multiple investors eager to sell/buy the property. The only probelm was Ocwen, they were not interested in accepting a short sale for the present market value. The property lost value between 2005 (when purchased) and 2006. I had extremely long hold times, constant change of contact persons handling my file and never a solid answer on my package. On 9/21/2007 my property went to a sheriff sale. This came after finding three different buyers and getting denied three times. These buyers were all interested in paying present market value. On the day of the sheriff sale the property went back to the bank for $100 according to the foreclosure attorney. Now in February 2008 I am stuck with a 1099-C in the amount of $164k. The bank can not explain to me where they came up with this number and has not provided me with any details of a transaction that would explain that charge. What am I to do? I've never made that much money, now I have to pay taxes on it. I did everything I could to save my home from foreclosure and now this.
